| Our Warranty
Kriss Industries Inc.'s limited warranty applies to each product it manufactures
to protect you against defective materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase* unless noted for a specific item. Kriss agrees to remedy
any such defect or replace the unit (at our option), provided the unit
is delivered to us, intact, with all transportation charges prepaid to
our factory within the warranty period from date of sale to the original
purchaser. The provisions of this warranty shall not apply to any unit
which has been subjected to misuse, neglect, incorrect mechanical or electrical
installation, unauthorized modifications, accidents, nor to units which
have been repaired or altered outside of our factory. The consumer must
provide proof of purchase unless purchased directly from Kriss. Warranties are not transferable.
* Items over two years from manufacture or purchased and not installed until after the warranty period are no longer within the warranty period.
Our Order Process

All orders need to be placed through our on-line process which is described on our
"order information page".
Products in stock usually ship within
7 - 10 days. Some of our options like heavy duty models are upgraded and
tested the day of shipment. Once your order has been shipped you will
be notified by e-mail with a tracking number directly from FedEx.
Payment Options
All orders are subject to verification of payment which includes billing address and billing zip code. If we have any problems with your credit card we will not ship the order and e-mail you prior to any further processing. We may call you at your billing address, for large orders, to confirm that you actually placed the order as protection against fraud or theft. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. In special cases where we are notified in advance we accept a certified bank check or postal money order. All prices are in U.S. Dollars.
Shipping method and rates
All items are shipped via FedEx Express Saver
or FedEx Ground to the 48 contiguous United States. If you live in Alaska,
or Hawaii it's necessary to ship 2day. If you live outside of the U.S.
we ship FedEx International Economy. Canada we use the Postal
Service unless you specify FedEx. You pay only our cost for shipping on FedEx which is based on service type, weight and distance from Arizona to the destination.
Transportation and delivery times
FedEx Express Saver service usually arrives in a 1-3 days after shipment depending on region distance from Arizona. International economy usually arrives in 5 days unless there is a delay in customs at the destination. Ground service usually arrives in 5 days after shipment. Ground shipments are not considered urgent in nature. All shipment times are based on normal business days, excluding weekends or holidays.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If you encounter any shipping damage or loss we will assist you in filing a claim with the shipper provided you chose to insure the package. If the shipment is insured the carrier assumes responsibility for the shipment once it leaves our factory. Damaged or missing cartons from handling must be claimed with the freight
carrier. Be sure to note any damaged or missing cartons on the freight
bill. If you notice damage after the driver has left, keep all the packing
and call the freight carrier to return the damaged merchandise and file
a claim. We are not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier. Damaged or lost items are not replaced until completion of the claim period with the shipper. You may purchase a replacement before the claim is settled. There is a handling fee for this special service when the claim is settled and credit is applied. The postal service requires a 30 day wait period before a claim can be filed for lost packages in the event the package is found and delivered. If you chose not to insure the shipment we will not be able to assist you in any manner. We suggest that you request insurance to avoid the responsible for loss or damage.
Out of Stock Products
While we do our best to keep up with our customer needs
we occasionally run out of our best selling products during the peak riding
season. In these cases we'll hold the order for the several days needed until
the item has been completed and ready for shipment. If there will be a
delay of any length we will ask you how you wish to handle back orders.
Warranty claims/returns (note: we've only had five warranty claims/replacements over the 5 years between 2003 and 2008)
Kriss will always replace defective merchandise or correct any errors made by Kriss. However, absolutely ALL items shipped to the factory must be authorized in advance directly from Kriss. Note: A Return Materials Authorization (RMA) is required prior to shipping your package back to us. After approving a return we will advise how to gain issuance of an RMA number through our web site. For accuracy, record keeping and internal tracking of packages after receipt at our location, RMA's are issued only via computer and not by email or telephone. If the return is due to an error on the part of Kriss, (e.g. we shipped an incorrect part, see *below) the product must be unused, in its original unopened packaging*, be included in our current product line and within 15 days after purchase from Kriss. In accordance with electrical industry standards there are no refunds, returns or exchanges on electrical items with opened packaging due to the possibility of damage during installation, incorrect wiring, incorrect connections or other factors beyond our control. Items that are unopened and authorized for return to be exchanged for another item are subject to a restocking/handling fee. Items returned for refund that are not in a sellable condition, missing parts, been opened or returned to us without authorization are not eligible for refund and will be discarded at your expense. Returns for refund are subject to restocking fees. Returns are not accepted after 30 days from date of sale.
*Cutting the sealed material in any manner is considered opened. All product packaging is clearly labeled so wrong items must be returned unopened. |
