This is "The Classroom" for those needing some help moving around a browser page.
This section provides help navigating our web site and placing an order.
Over the years we've helped many people by telephone and walked them through each step that was involved in Internet procedures. After helping some people recently we decided that some type detailed on-line assistance actually might be needed and probably would be very helpful for those without a lot of experience on the web.
Each of the sections below will provide you with instructions in finding your way around our web
site and it's terrific practice for those who'd like some guidance that's useful for other Internet site.
Navigating the pages in our web site.
1. In the upper section of all our pages you'll find the navigation bar. Look above the "schoolhouse" and you'll see the bar listing each of our product group titles. When you slide the mouse arrow over each of the groups a box that's named a dialog box will open up under the title name. These boxes will contain several lines and on each will be the name of a product or in some cases it will list the name of your motorcycle brand. Sliding the mouse over each of these lines will cause the color of the text and background to change so you can easily identify the line over which you are hovering. While on a line, clicking the mouse will take you to that individual page for your viewing. The navigation bar is found on just about every page in our web site so that you can easily navigate from page to page without having to click return or search for a previous page.
2. Some times we have links to other pages within the boundaries of a page. We again make this an easy navigation process with the new page opening in a new window which is separate from the page you're viewing at the time. This makes it extremely easy to view the additional page while needed and then you can close this window without loosing your place at the original page. If you click on "This Mfg Link" you'll find that our page describing our manufacturing facilities opens and it's in a new window. When you click on the "X" in the upper right corner of this new page it will close the window and you'll still be here in the Classroom which is being displayed in the original browser window.
3. We have a few pages that aren't listed in the navigation bar which open in a separate window when you click on the page link. When viewing these pages you'll see a button in the upper left part of the page the says Clicking on the button closes the window so it's not necessary to click on the "X" in the upper corner. The separate window allows you to guickly view the information without navigating away from the original page you were reading. Here's an example of one of those pages so you can get a chance to test the function, Today's Economy .
4. Some of our pages include a table for locating a part that fits your specific model. These pages are titled with the motorcycle manufacturers name. When viewing one of these tables and after locating your motorcycle model the columns to the right contain the part numbers of each of our items which fit your model. Clicking on the part number will normally take you directly to the page that provides the information you're looking to find so it doesn't open in a new window. For viewing purposes here these pages, from the table below, will open in a separate window so you can easily return to the Classroom. Here's an example for some models and parts found in these lists:
Fits these Models Some years are shown for
reference while other years
may still apply
5. Once you've looked over the information and viewed the graphic animations showing how the device works you're probably now ready to place an order.
Placing an order.
1.Placing an order on the Kriss web site is extremely easy. At least from what you see. In order to protect your valuable financial information we not only provide you with an Internet connection that's secure and encrypted, so nobody else can view the information you're entering or submitting, we also wrote our own proprietary computer code for additional privacy in the ordering process . When we developed this code it was scripted in a manner that allows you to make your entries without the requirement of creating an on-line account, like you find in just about every shopping cart service used for Internet purchases, and we don't require the use of "cookies" which are little files placed on your computer that remember your information. We didn't want to use these outside source shopping cart services that take the orders, process the credit cards and then send a notification to the merchant of the order. We wanted you to be able to place your order directly with us and not be required to establish an on-line account on another companies system, which remains in place and could be subject to access in the event of someone acting in a fraudulent manner. When you enter information during checkout and submit it to us the form is being used on a one time basis and then it's erased. This is easily tested by clicking the back button after you submit the order and you'll find a blank form. We now have your information in a temporary file on our server, that's also encrypted, so anyone here other than someone with authorization cannot read your credit card number. This file is permanently removed from the server when the information is entered into our private database which is never connected to the Internet. We then process your order and manually key the numbers into a credit card terminal which is not using the Internet and communicates directly with the credit card processor for Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Yes, it takes extra time but there just isn't any better degree of security. This is the reason you have to enter your information as if you're a new customer every time you place an order with Kriss.
2. To place the order you should be viewing the page which describes the part you wish to purchase. On the right hand side of each product page you'll see the order button that's labeled All you do is click on the add to cart button and automatically the part information is entered into a table which is called the "Cart" and it will appear showing what you've selected. If you discover you've made and error these can easily be corrected on Cart page. On some of the pages we offer the product in a heavy duty version. For these items select the button rather than the normal add to cart button. Remember that you can always correct the cart if you inadvertently select the incorrect part or duplicate a selection.
3. While viewing the cart If you would like continue and order another type of part you simply click on the button and you'll automatically return to the previous page. Now you can go to the navigation bar and select another product group and chose an item from the drop down dialog box. When your ready to add this item to the cart list simply click on the "Add to Cart" on that page and the Cart page will again be displayed. If you decide not to purchase another item you can always navigate to the "Cart" page by clicking on the button. Click on this "display button" if you'd like to see how it operates. There won't be any parts shown during this test and it opens in a new window so you can close it without losing your place on this page.
4. Now you can make a final inspection of the parts in the list you'd like to purchase. If everything meets your satisfaction then click on the button.
5. Now your ready to fill in your billing address, shipping address and credit card information. After filling in all the information take another look that everything is correct and then click the
button. Remember that if any of the information is inadvertently entered incorrectly you won't be able to verify it or make any correction after submitting the order because the form is completely erased. Any corrections will need to be made by contacting our office.
6. After you submit your order you'll see an "order confirmation" page appear on the screen. This page will contain the list of parts ordered, shipping method, an order number and some other important information. It's a good idea to print this page so you have a record of you order information.
We hope our Classroom has helped you become a little more informed or comfortable navigating around a web site.
